Homelink Garage Door Opener

Great fellas. . order is placed. . I didn't think I was gonna do this mod. . untill I moved into a gated community with 2 separate garage doors. . yup. . gotta get it now..

It should. I have Homelink from the factory on mine. As far as I can remember, the sunroof controls look exactly like the 03-05.

does anyone have pics of the inside of the ceiling, where the wires will be hanging out when i pry it open?? I'm planning to order it this week, but am curious on what it will look like inside before i pry it open. thanks in advance.

you're being too protective at this point...

it literally took me a minute to pry it off and install the new one. Just as Toybox said, grab it from the wind-shield side and pull down. the pressure clamps makes it a tough pull but it will come down.

I didn't take pictures but the wiring is all wrapped up and the connection is like any other internal wiring within a car, a plug. As long as you can plug a male end into a female end, don't gain any gray hairs concerning yourself about the wiring.

just being conservative. Never in my life, have done a mod like this, Only cheap "so called-mods" like chrome tips, tint, and chrome side mirror covers, and aftermarket alarms.

Homelink garage

Okay So I ordered my homelink this week, should be here soon. I will let you guys know if I get it installed. I'm a girly girl! So if I can do it anyone can!

I hope these Toyota dealers aren't trying to rip me off. I just got mine today, but it was used. The parts guy said it's new, but the wrapper says "Apr 4, 2003". So it was obvious. Also, there were a few scratches, and one of the metal clips were broken. At first, i was worried when pushing it in, that I might break it, but when i compared it to my old console, the clip was TOTALLY broken. :bash:

Hey I managed to get the part in pretty quick! You're right make sure to pull the part down from the front (windshield) side of part and pull down from there. You wont be able to get it down the other way...I do have pictures if anyone wants to see what it looks like?

lucky. mine was sept 13, 2004. Oh well. At least this one looks new, and operates like new. Unlike that other one, yuck. lol

In ordered mine today from Partznet.........oooooo I'm all excited , should have it by end of week.

It's in and literally a less than 5 minute mod. Work's great and now can get rid of the ugly G-dood opener hanging from the visor.

Hmmmmmm.....what mod next ????
