Homelink Garage Door Opener

I talked with my dealer on Friday and was looking to get the Homelink garage door (click ) and he says that it would not work on my 2004 Sport, thus I didn't order the part.

So, for those of you guys that purchased and installed this part, is the wiring already there and will it work on a 2004 Sport??

Yes, it will work, there is a small chip inside the assembly, right on top of the three buttons. It gets power from the map lights. It will fit any fourth generation Runner.

That is bs because I have an 03 sport and it worked fine. Took 20 minutes and no problems at all. If it worked with a 2003, then it will work on a 2004.

Basically, you just replace the entire upper console. It just snaps out and the new one snaps in. Less than a 5 minute job. The wiring is all there. It will work with any 03/04 4runner.

You need to order the part with homelink, your interior color, and with or without sunroof controls.
