Honda CRV Forum recommendations

This is a great forum and have found a ton of useful information. We also have a Honda CRV that the wife drives and I have been searching the net for a forum like this and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations.

Most crv forums will be for speed, not offroad. A lot of guys build the motors in those cars and swap different heads and stuff for honda motor swaps. There are a few modded turbo crv's in our area that Ive seen for sale on craigs. Just search crv forum and a few pop up.

When I lived in Peru (before I had my HiLux Surfs), I bought a new 2000 CRV. I joined a forum, I think, hondasuv.com. All these years later, I find out that I've been banned because of inactivity, LMAO.

Anyway, I don't remember anyone "modding" their cars. Lots of DIY articles. Anyway, it was a great little car, I loved it, but then I got my first 97 HiLuxSurf a few years later and I stopped driving the CRV. I sold it with only 36,000Km only after 6 years. It was brand freeking new.

When I had my EP3 Civic Si I belonged to ephatch.com. It was the better forum for my model and generation civic. I'm sure if you ask on there, some will point you in the right direction.

Yeah... that's pretty hard core off-roading for a CRV, any more and that poor thing would snap in half.

What year is your CRV? We've seen a lot of tranny failures in early CRVs around 100k among other Honda/Acura Products built with that drivetrain.

I own a '98 crv 2wd with 206,000 miles and is my daily driver, that little thing is unstoppable.

I usually agree with you but you'd be surprised.. Those little trucks are tougher than they look. I've seen ppl do horrible things with them and they just ask for more. They are very durable and the Honda4WD is pretty straight forward but works great. Ours(97) has 196K miles and still runs like a champ. Ended up with my son for college.. But heres a few pics of some very cool ones..
