This day is set aside to honor all of our veterans who have served in the past, continue to serve, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. There are many veteran members on this site and we appreciate your many sacrifices. We are forever in your debt.

I salute you.

To those who sacrificed their valuable time to serve our country in the armed forces and keep our great country safe...
We give you our deepest gratitude! :usa2:

To all the other veterans out there. Thank you for our freedom.

Those of us left from high school who chose to enlist during Vietnam all got in touch today.

The farthest away is in S. Korea again for another month still pursuing what became a life long passion. Now, as a private contractor, he is still supporting and training our troops. After serving in Vietnam as an enlisted, he had what I guess some folks now would call PTSD, but there wasn’t a lot of help or compassion for returning soldiers then in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anyway, while some of his college classmates were running off to the safety of Canada to avoid the draft, he took R.O.T.C. while completing his B.S. degree. A long road, ultimately, he married a lady he met in the Army, they raised two children and he retired as a Lt. Colonel.

After all these years i have found forgiveness in my heart for the female that spit on me when i came home. Thanks to all that served.
