Hood

I am really looking for some advice. I just purchased my first 4Runner. It is a 98 SR5 with 282k on it. Will a hood from a 99 Sport fit my truck? I am a Sales Manager for a Toyota store & get a great price on parts, but I am a total rookie when it comes to this truck. I am looking to take it to the next level. Not just cosmetically but internally as well. Where do I start? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It will fit.. But with that amount of mileage on it, Id be thinking maintenance first. With over 200k on it most of this has probably been done already but---radiator/tranny cooler, lbjs, tb/h20 pump, belts, plugs/wires etc. What has been done to it so far? What are you planning on doing with the truck?
Do some searches on here, look through the sticky threads, you'll run out of money before you run out of ideas..

There aren't any maintenance records on the national service history. I have had the brakes done, tie rod ends, inner and outer, plugs, & wires. I have had the front & rear diffs flushed & filled. Transfer case and trans the same. I use it 2-3 days a week. The next is the timing belt, water pump and the gaskets that go along with that change. I want to lift it, but dont plan on using it for aggressive off road. Maybe dunes and novice off road. I just purchased it off my used car lot and it is in impeccable condition, cosmetically. I want to change out the bumpers, I don't like chrome. I have a b-line on some black 16" wheels through my store. I appreciate all the advice and input. I will post a pic of my project tomorrow.

How good of a price can you get on that sport hood?

I'm sure if it's real good, quite a few ppl on here would be interested in getting one as well.
