Is there a site where you can buy hood scoops for 04's??
I've looked.. but can't find any!
Would the dealership be able to order one and put it on [and I guess paint it?]? Or if it's possible.. would it be cheaper for us to buy it and take it somewhere to get it put on?

I've never heard of being able to buy stock hoodscoops. I think they're built into the hood, not just added on. Most hoodscoops that you buy just go ontop and you paint over them. If you want a standard hood scoop they sell them at autozone or pepboys but they don't look very good to be honest. You could always try and find a totaled runner with a hoodscoop and a hood intact... but then again, I don't think a car can get totaled without the engine/hood being touched. lol.

True, but if it gets nailed from the side or from the rear then it has the possibility of offering a good hood. Problem is these cars are worth enough that anything short of engine damage means you can repair it and not total it... Either way I have a feeling you'll have a hard time finding a good hood for cheap.

The hood scoop and XREAS have made me jealous of the sport editions. I thought it would be a pretty big expense to replace the hood, so I put it out of my mind. I agree with 94yotarunner, in that the add-on hood scoops don't look that good on cars.......but, I checked out that link and like this carbon fiber hood scoop quite a bit. I wonder how it would look on my black 4runner and $286 isn't too expensive. Maybe something this wide would look odd on an SUV. Come to think of it, I can't think of many SUVs that come stock with a hood scoop.....or even many I have scene with aftermarkets. The nice thing about the carbon fiber is that it wouldn't need painting.
