Hooking up Rack lights to Puddle Lights (With Meso Customs switch)

With all the companies coming out with rack brackets for rock lights, i'd like to have them hooked up to the puddle light switch that Meso Customs sells. Has anyone done this? Is it as simple as splicing the wiring from the rocklights/lightbars into the switch?

If you have an SPOD or a Switch-Pros you can set up a trigger to turn on the lights when that circuit comes on. Which is one of the reasons those systems are helpful. If not, hopefully someone else can help.
