Given that Daily Mail is essentially a UK tabloid I'll take that with a grain of salt. Even if it is true, one man's anecdote doesn't negate literally everything else we're seeing about this.

Have no idea who you're referring to re: love letters. Seems silly.

Likewise here many people will blindly trust the scientist who appears to be spinning swine flu one way, and the new coronavirus another way perhaps for political convenience. At least up until today that is, where he's changed his tune on the coronavirus - a convenient shift in the winds lol.
