But is it really necessary for a virus with a 98% survival rate???? SARS had much higher death rate and nothing shut down. But it wasn't an election year for the Democrats either. Coincidence?
Cigarettes, alcohol, and junk food are far more deadlier than this virus. Just saying.

No one is forcing you... Cigs, booze, and junk food may be far deadlier but those are all things we can control… It’s when can’t control things, it becomes a problem.
That said, I could really use a burger, beer, and a cigarette right about now. And just because I want that doesn’t means I want Coronavirus.
In all seriousness… Trying to work from home at a limited capacity blows and I can’t wait to get back to the office, I can’t wait to get my staff back into full productivity. All of this is effecting EVERYONE and causing a bunch of turmoil; BUT I understand that it’s necessary even from my perspective as a business owner. I rather have a struggling team than a dead team. I don’t like it, but the consequences of not following thru could be too great.
I really try NOT to clutter my mind with all the overload of Covid coverage in the news, but I have a bunch of friends and family in healthcare, and I get unfiltered commentary from them and it’s pretty bad. Sometimes it sound like people might be blowing things out of proportion, but when people you love (who work in infectious diseases and are responsible for ICU patient care) are telling you the hospital they work at went from one N95 per day to 1 per week, it a cause for alarm. They tell me about people who they had in their ICU that died. I can see its effecting them, yet they keep going in and working. I feel for them, and if my part is to stay home and help flatten the curve, I’ll do it, because I really don’t want to be them right now.
Truth be told, election year or not, we ****ed up our early response to this. If I had this information well ahead of time, you better believe the US Gov did as well. I have been dealing with concerned customers since this all started as a large portion of my business supply chain is global (China and Italy), and our organization was already in soft quarantine a week before the US even announced the first shelter in place. It really didn’t take much to convince me that this was serious, and should be taken seriously, and I’m in the “let’s get back to work ASAP” camp.
On top of all that, my bank still hasn’t been able to process my SBA loan application. I had my paperwork together was ready to move on this Friday of last week.
It's going to be a slow climb out of this hole, and we all have to work together to do it. The only way do it it faster is to stack the dead bodies and use them as stairs.
