We should let all these people out of lockdown, to do whatever they want, open their businesses, restaurant, literally whatever they want. Except you get absolutely no access to healthcare, no hospitals, office visits, nothing, you get zilch. No search and rescue. No car accident jaws of life. Nothing

You know what, you smoking, obese crazies? Don’t stay at home. Throw a BBQ, go to church, hug and kiss each other all day. That’ll show the “libs!” And then, when you’re dying of respiratory illness and can’t breathe, and are begging for a respirator, just remember this is what you protested for.

To be fair, the WHO has parroted CCP talking points and seems to be covering for them.

There is no spinning here.” But in reality, China’s initial cover-up, disinformation campaign, and propaganda cost the rest of the world dearly. And they are STILL not telling us correct numbers at all.

Remember, the CCP was saying that there’s no person-to-person transmission to worry about on Jan 14th, a claim repeated by the WHO, when again in reality, they have traced confirmed cases back to Nov 17th.

Recall also the study that said if China had acted 3 weeks sooner instead of working to cover it up, it could have reduced the worldwide outbreak by 95%, and this other paper I already shared which shows that China’s number of infected is probably closer to 3M people.

You and I agree that the CCP is not the world’s friend. And it seems there is an argument to be made that the WHO is covering up for them, or at the least repeating false CCP talking points. We fund the WHO to the tune of $400M+ per year. China pays about a tenth of that. Is it not time to rethink how much money we send them?

Agreed. Honesty and openness do no good as China's leadership sees it. So they don't participate in that, except in the occasional instance where it furthers their agenda. Their M/O seems to be, lie about it, and when the lie is discovered, wait long enough and it will be forgotten. Bottom line - China is not honest and doesn't care about inflicting damage on people all over the world. There have been hundreds of instances of tainted materials coming from China, and maybe as many patent infringements. They don't care.

The sad part is, I don't think I've ever met a Chinese citizen here in the USA that wasn't friendly, kind, and helpful. How those communists keep their huge population in submission while keeping them in poverty is disgusting.

Do you think the janitorial staff at a nuclear power plant ever wipes down the keyboards and mice in the control room? They were protesting at the state capitol, as I understand it. If they were blocking the roads, I agree with you - they need to not do that. Hopefully police were addressing that issue. Many years ago I read the book “The Hot Zone” by Richard Preston, about the Ebola and Marburg viruses. When researchers exited the labs where they worked on live viruses while in fully enclosed gear they sprayed each other with full strength chlorine bleach.

I'd double check before you go. Local rules might catch you by surprise if Utah is on your itinerary. Southern Utah is mostly turning people away. State and national parks are closed. The southern Utah state parks say that they are turning away between hundreds and thousands of people per day from the entrances. Out of county residents are not allowed. I'd check before you go.

That may sound good, and seems logical, until...…….you get hurt, or stuck, or sick. Then the first responders have to come to your aid. And you infect them. then it snowballs in an area that doesn't have the infrastructure to handle the hoards of people who descend on them. In my area, there are enough beds to handle a few skiers and one car accident. Then the hospital is full. then what? I took a riding buddy to the hospital in Moab during an allergic reaction attack. they could only handle a few of those emergencies per day. So if you go, you may be on your own. If you come down with a fever during the night, do you really think they want to help you. When you were told not to come? And you are probably infecting them? And you can be contagious for maybe 6 days before you have any symptoms. WE are all stuck in the same deal. It's going to be a long time before we get used to the new normal.
