So? That doesn't change the fact that fatalities increased 42% in Vorarlberg and 38% in Tyrol. That has nothing to do with how widespread COVID-19 is, it has everything to do with a huge increase in fatalities over past years - and the only difference is COVID-19.

Besides, how are they counting coronavirus deaths? If it's the same way as Italy, NY, and now as the CDC recommends - where everyone these days is dead from coronavirus - the death #s will not be reliable.

Plus, if these 2 recent studies are accurate, and they do match with common sense, the real # of people with the Wuhan virus is high and the death rates are the same as the flu.

Due to shorter hours, more people are packed into the few retail stores allowed to remain open along with grocery stores. Anyone been to their local garden nursery, Lowe’s or Home Depot lately, not to mention grocery stores.

There isn’t a pile of dead retail or grocery store workers. Why?

In my area the grocery stores open an hour early for 60+ year olds only. And during the rest of the day they allow only a limited amount of people in the store at one time for distancing. Grocery carts are wiped down with disinfectant after each use. Almost everyone wears face masks and gloves in the store, customers and workers. There’s a station at each entrance with hand sanitizer and extra wipes for your cart. Cashiers have plexiglass screens between them and the customer credit card station. No customer/supplied bags are allowed, they use paper bags only and no charge for them. There’s usually a guy at the exit to squirt another glob of sanitizer in your hand if you want. The hoarding of paper and food products has mostly subsided but sanitizer items are still hard to get.

The Lowe’s and HD follow very much the same procedures as grocery stores. They limit the amount of people in the store at one time. Most people are gloved and masked keeping their distance. Sanitizer at the door. All the self checkout station keypads and barcode readers are wiped with sanitizer after each customer use.

Costco is following similar procedures. Special hours for seniors, limited people allowed at one time. Sanitizer at the entrance. Gloves and masks. They stagger the restocking of TP and other high demand products throughout the day to discourage hoarding.

It’s all kind of weird and mentally exhausting and there’s a feeling of paranoia being out in public. But for now it’s the new normal and it seems to be working here in CA. I’m not sure of what the rest of the country is doing. Let’s hope for quick and successful medical treatments and vaccines.

Nah, once your in the store it is still crowded. People need to investigate every item as if they don't buy it every week. That and once they have a little bit of tissue over their face, it appears to limit all the other brain and motor functions. Six foot rule is out the window.

It's been three weeks now since my wife has been in isolation due to her lab work where they are STILL testing well over 1,000 samples per day with a relatively steady 25-30% Covid positive rate. We were hoping she could safely come home in two weeks if things start to settle down, but with all the Covidiots breaking social distancing rules and clamoring to open things back up immediately, it is very probable that there will be a spike in cases. The medical community is fairly unanimous in their opinion about this.

It makes no difference if every single single individual on the planet has COVID-19 - it still kills a significant amount of people.

Oh, and we're at 45k fatalities here in the US with about 1500+ new deaths per day. How long before we hot 50k? The new projections show deaths not subsiding until the beginning of June in many areas of the US (assuming people will stay 6 feet away from one another and wear a mask), so I predict the final count will be higher.

I think what you’re referring to is the term ”ditto head”, which is a derogatory name applied to lovers of Rush Limbaugh.

Of course the death counts will climb since the grifters are pumping up their rookie numbers.

You can’t believe the death counts anymore since the CDC started pushing healthcare workers to simply guess and assume if someone died from the virus. NY is the poster child for that.

Even with inflated death counts, if those other studies are accurate, this new virus is as deadly as the flu overall but pointed more at elderly with pre existing major health issues.
