Hey Guys,

I'm looking for an '96-'02 SR5 in the Houston area. I've been looking all over the internet and car lots for the past week and a half without any luck. What I really want is a 2 wheel drive, 6 cylinder with less than 150K miles. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone on here could help steer me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

Good Deal/Bad Deal?

for anyone who wants to help (or is just really bored). i'm new to the 4Runner world, please take a look at this link at a '98 SR5 i recently took for a test drive.

it has 146K miles on it, but it really did drive well and is very clean on the inside. some normal wear and tear, but all and all i was very impressed. the windshield is in pretty bad shape and would probably need to be replaced within a year. also the tires don't have a whole lot of tread left.

i would never purchase a vehicle without getting a full inspection by my own mechanic first. i just want to make sure this truck is worth getting looked at. does this price seem fair? with my financial situation right now i can only afford to pay around $7,000. my ford expedition was totalled and that is all i got from the insurance company.

any imput is greatly appreciated!

thanks for the replies. i actually found a '97 Limited at a deaership here in houston. so far so good!
