Not true - but it doesn't hurt your chances There is no formal procedure or rules, the mods and admins pick one out towards the end of the month from the best gallery threads. If you look at the T4ROTM thread you will get an idea of what gets our attention. If it's been awhile since your gallery thread was last updated, post another pic in it every once in awhile in order to bump the thread up towards the top. I can't speak for the other mods/admin, but I tend not to look past the 2 or 3 most recent pages of gallery threads when looking for a T4ROTM candidate.

Near the end of the month the moderators and administrators make a few picks and then we talk about them. I can tell you we really like outdoor / off road pictures. Having a few mods help, but good outdoor pictures are what I look for.

We also try and pick from all 4 generations, I remember one 1st generation model crushing a car, that was one of my favorites.
