How are your factory heated seats?

The passenger seat seems to only have two areas heated. The back of the legs and upper back seem heated while the butt and lower back seem not heated. Even the portions heated are not very warm at all. Is this your experience as well? Wanted to know if this was something I need serviced (while dealing with the rattling sunroof when tilted) or if this is just how it is. Thanks so much.

My 2017 SR5 Premium seats heat pretty evenly and I think get really warm. Have the dealer check yours out. Might be a simple fix.

My 2019's are ok. Nowhere near as nice as Ford's though. I think it is pretty subjective per person and what you are used to.

2015 TEP, mine work just as well as in any other car I have had. Definitely better than my wife's old Infiniti which had hot spots.

2014 TEP. Mine heat faster and warmer than any car I've owned before. Takes just a few seconds.

Wifes 2020 ORP

Our 2020 gets hot fast, and heats even around our legs, butts and backs.

My 2010 got pretty warm, my 2016 is not AS hot though. I remember thinking the same on another 2016 or 17 that I test drove before purchasing this one, so I know it's not just mine. Still gets the job done, just not as hot as I remember in the "older" one!

This is the weakest heat seater I have ever owned. Not much I can do. Dealer says its normal, no real way to argue that unless it fails. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Haha thanks. I used my hand to touch the areas and it seems like the same. Lower back and butt aren't warm at all. They claim all the proper zones are working.

I'm shocked at how quickly my seats heat up. Much faster than my wife's Odyssey or any other car I have been in with heated seats.

They are getting warm by the time I back out of the garage and are hot halfway down the street. Can only go a few blocks before I have to turn them down.

I get cold easily too so they are defiantly doing a good job. One of favorite things I never knew I wanted. Now I want a heated steering wheel.

14 Sr5p, heat up super fast and toasty. Faster than our 17 Limited Tundra, but those are real leather so thicker fabric to go through.

For the very few times I have used them, they are great, get very warm and quickly.

Just had the first real opportunity to use these last week in the 2019, not bad overall..but they pale in comparison to the ones in my wife's E350 (Mercedes not Ford)
Her's have three positions vs the rheostat, and they are hot in seconds, much faster than the 4Runner. :flame:
