How can I safely remove emblems?

Does anyone out there know how I can safely remove my OEM rear emblems without damaging the paint? I recently received a JDM Hilux Surf / SSRX emblems that I plan to use on my 2004 4Runner SR5.
Any advice would be appreciated....

Search on debadging or debadg*. It's been discussed several times.

Thanks for the info!!! Look like there a few ways to de-badge my 4Runner easily....
