How deep is a front stock speaker in a 2001?

I am FINALLY a new 4Runner owner!!! I got a 2001 4WD V6 Sport and I am looking to upgrade the stock system and was hoping it can be done without adding spacers or cutting up the doors. Just curious how deep are the stock front and rear speakers so I can go out and shop before tearing apart the doors.

Try www.crutchfield.com and look at the part where it will tell you what fits in your vehicle. That should give you an idea.

if you don't wanna put spacers in because you are worried about them hitting the grill, you can always get very thin ones. you can get 1/4" and 1/8" spacers from www.mjmautoinnovations.com
