How do I check if I have power to my e-locker?

Okay, me and my brother were trying to fix my e-locker on my 96 4Runner. When i press the button it just flashes. We have tried moving back and forth, its in 4-lo, ect ect. We were trying to take it apart and it was being a b**** so we just let it soke in some WD-40. While we were waiting we were testing for power. I turned it on and my brother said the motor turned a third of the time we tried and only for a second. We hooked up a meter from the larger connector (for the motor) to ground on the truck and it wasn't reading. The smaller connector (fr the switch) was giving power. We may try to hook to a separate battery and try if its the wires or something like that. Let me know any ideas you guys have?

It sucks cause we worked on it for so long and got no where :ybrick:

The actuator is probably corroded. You will have to remove, take it apart and clean it.

The electronics are probably good if it blinks when you push the button.

Give the motor a few light taps with a hammer with the button pushed. That is what got my used E-locker working
