How do I turn off the MAINT light on my 08 V6?

I've been doing my own oil changes and would like to know how to turn off the MAINT light on my 2008 T4R V6. I saw someone post it here but can't seem to find the thread. Thanks,

Press and hold the odometer trip button while turning the car to the on position. It will flash and then turn off. No need to start it up.

I experience this challenge after changing my oil. I finally realized the owner’s manual instructions worked when I followed the steps while in the odometer mode vs Trip A or Trip B modes. Understanding Terminology! Was the key to getting it done on my 07 V6. Plus, it came to me the odometer vs trip meters is what is monitoring the 5,000 mi needed oil changes.
