Hi everyone!

Where is the engine filter and how do you replace it? Everyone says its easy.... can someone send me some directions with images of how to learn to do this on my own?

I am also wondering if someone can sell me a CD Rom copy of the repair manuals. I have a 2003 Limited V8, 4WD, with navigator, sunroof, leather, etc.

This truck is a dream!!!!

Thanks! You guys have helped me so much by giving me the knowledge and advice I need in hand before heading over to the stealership.

I'm not sure on the V8, but on the V6 the air box is on the left hand side of the engine bay. There are two metal spring clips that you have to open and that exposes the filter element. Its as easy as popping the old one out and popping the new one in.

Hopefully someone with the V8 can comment in more detail.

oh yeah, welcome to the board :)

ha ha ha.... What about hot ladies that replace their own engine air filter?

I may be cute but I won't let no stealership take me for a dumb girl!

Thanks fellas!

hey lady , do you have a picture of your 4Runner ?? i own a shop so u can also ask me too , if need to .. , Mike

Thanks Mike!

I actually do have a NEW dilemma. You know anything about the navigation system. For some reason I am getting an "error" message. I've never taken the DVD out or anything. I am not sure if I should open the system up or just take it into the dealer to have them take a look. But I want to see if I can resolve it myself.
