How do you replace the Hood Release Cable?

I need to replace my hood release cable. When I pulled on the handle to open the hood, I got nothing. I got under the front and identified the problem. The cable is rusted into shreds just before the plastic piece that goes into the latch. I was able to reach up and pull on it to release the mechanism and open the hood. I need to replace the cable. How hard is the job? Any tips or part numbers? Thanks.
