Every one has his own theory with how frequently they change their cars. Up to how many miles will you drive your 4runner before you decide to change it?

I Keep my toyoatas Until they really are not worth fixing ..I had a 1986 Truck that i bought new and just got rid of last year with 249,000 on the clock .my 4 runner new in 05 should last quite a while

I've gotten rid of 2 Toyotas

1. "90 Camry Wagon. Needed tires, brakes, full exhaust @ 210,000 miles. Sold it for $2500

2. "98 Sienna. Mouse died in the heater duct, wife couldn't get over the smell. Traded it on an '06 Sienna @ 140,000 miles.

The '06 is going strong @ 85,000 miles.

My '07 4R is just getting broken in. 16,000 miles

No plans to get rid of either one in the forseeable future.

I expect to have mine until there's about 450K+ on it . To me ( with a Toyota ) and how well the 3rd Gens are built its worth it to me to put a few bucks into as opposed to buying a new(er) one and getting into car payments , which I despise !!! Its always fun driving off the lot and then the payments sink in 2 months later .

I had my Honda Prelude for near 485K and it was still running when I sold it . Water pump , brakes etc... the usual stuff ,never had any major malfunctions with that car . I also take very good care of my vehicles so they tend to last without a lot of issues , IMO .

I'm also not a car payment kinda buyer so I'll keep mine around until I can cash out a factory warrantied current body Range Rover (in a couple of yrs) lowered on 24" custom wheels. If I had the 3rd gen, I'd be very tempted to get the 4th gen for its newer looks, superior interior, V8, etc.

Otherwise, I'll be content with the 4Runner/911 combo for the time being.

I just traded a Ford Sporttrac for an 08 SR5. The Ford had 100k on it and was 7 years old. I intend to keep the T4R until the wheels fall off :)

Either the wheels fall off or when I feel like I need an upgrade, it'll go to my kid.

Until I run out of mods to do to this one. Then I'll need a new hobby. I'll probably keep it and just buy a 2nd vehicle in the next year or 2. Maybe a 5th Gen?

I have enjoyed my 4runner. I guess I'll sell it when it starts breaking down and costing $. Cruzr how did you ford hold up? I traded my punched out ranger for this one - it was starting to fall apart. One day I want to cut the back off and paint it camo - can't see that happening while it's still looking this nice.

As long as it doesnt pull any Grand Cherokee type nonsense, Ill keep it a while! I just clicked 750 miles today. :D

Oh those kick in at 1000 miles ;) NOT.
Im about to turn 62k and I LOVE this truck so much. It still feels NEW!
My previous was a modded 2000 prelude (totally different i know) but I was glad to be rid of it at 80k..... there is no way that'll be the situation with the 4runner, my mod bug will still be leaking venom into me at that time. :bigok:

Yea. The MSRP on my 06 Grand was $45,000. With 31,000 miles KBB tradewas $15K. Depreciating POS. My old Cherokees and Wrangler were awesome. All my Grand Cherokees were crap.

I plan on keeping it for a LOOOOONG time. In a couple of years I'll pass it to my older kid, and get myself a new T4R. Hopefully the 5th Gen will be out by then. :D
