You don't drive lifted, heavy, suv's that you mod and add weight and then pay attention to fuel mileage. LOL

To top it off...even with 5.29's it struggled to hold 65 mph. But boy did it wheel....

7,100 miles on a 2016 TRDPRO. Only additional drag is the install of the Gobi Stealth and a Ridgid 40" bar and the Awning. Combined mileage is now down to 16.6 MPG. WTF?
I know it's not a Prius, but how low will it go? And no, gas cans are not on.

aren't the official estimates ~17-21 for a stock vehicle — without all that wind-drag on your roofline? sheesh. #TRDProProblems

I'm having to cruise at 60 to keep mine flirting with 19. If I go 65 or more it immediately dumps down to 18 or less. My overall for the last 2 years is at 17.2. Are you resetting it every fillup?

17.2? That's what I'm getting, too. I thought I was driving with the parking brake on or something, but I'm glad I'm not the only one getting those numbers.

I've had it down in the 11's coming back from Utah loaded with gear and 16 gallons of gas in roof. I was trying to keep up with my brother in a relatively unloaded v8 Jeep though, so think 85mph uphill loaded.

Canadian '16 Trail with KDSS, diff lock, Goodyear Duratrecs and all mod cons. Never check mileage around town, but we do average 19.5 mpg US, occasional 20,+ on trips. We live at 50' above sea level and all our trips take us into the mountains, at elevations of 3,000-5,000 feet. - Ted

'16 Trail with 275's and I get 15ish mpg running mostly highway at 70mph. I only have about 1500miles on it and was hoping it was going to go up. After reading this it doesn't seem like it. Oh well, its still better than the 12mpg my Ram diesel gets

A friend...has sent snapchats of him being passed on his commute to work...while he is going 93mph.

It sucks because I fully agree that the gas mileage drops off substantially at that speed.

I'm thankful every day I don't live anywhere near urban sprawl. I commute 60 miles each way to the nearest city for work, and that city's population is only about 48,000. About 48 miles of that is 4 lane 65mph zone where you can usually get away with pushing 70. I just try to leave the house a few minutes early and keep it in the right lane at 60 to save gas. I get there maybe 5 minutes later than everybody else who's in a hurry. Mind you I have no problem with running it up every now and then. But at 600 miles per week just for the commute I have to try and stretch the gas as far as I reasonably can.
