Hey, got my 05 when I lived in Vegas and went off-road at least once a week for a long time. I read your post and laughed, all of the great trail rides I did in NV, CA, AZ and NM were all with a group of friends with Jeeps. At the start of every ride they would all get together and laugh at my 'Soccer Mom SUV'. At the end of the rides they would all be tired, sweaty, dirty, hungry and thirsty. They would have busted parts and some of them would even have injuries from getting out and moving rocks and winching. And i would pull up in my soccer mom SUV with my empty plug in fridge, ac on, Metallica blairing and ask if they need medical assistance or a ride home!

been in freehold almost 2 years and there is not much to do around here other than powerline roads meant for bikes or the occasional illegal speed jaunt onto the beach. There are some illegal trails out between Six Flags and Ft Dix but it's always muddy and tons of sugar sand so i wouldn't mess w them w/o a buddy and a winch.

Certainly would like to know i there is a group ride or bbq, drinks, what ever. also if there are any great 4x4 shops round monmouth/ocean area.
So far all I could find was a body shop to install my Shrockworks bumber that should arrive in 2 weeks.

Hopefully everyone made out okay from Hurricane Sandy. We are planning on an off roading meet on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Pine Barrens. We have about 3-4 4Runners going so far, should be a good time. Can anyone here make it that day? We will determine more details once we get more people to go and when the date gets closer.

I live just next door, in MD. Does that count? Oh, and the first two owners both lived in NJ! I don't think they ever took it off road. Super clean. They also never had it serviced at a Toyota dealer; computer maintenance account is blank/empty except for the services I've had done to it. I'm the 3rd owner.

My Uncle used to use them years ago, I think they were pretty quality then. I don't know how they are now-a-days
