How many guys are still on original transmission fluid? Come on in!

I just got 200k this last weekend and I’m still on the original fluid. Everything shifts and feels fine but I’ve started collecting fluid so I can get it done sometime soon.

Lifetime to me is until the factory warranty is over. I changed mine at 80k right when I brought mine.

I'd say change at 100k. Then every 50k after that.

I pretty much agree with this. Just do a drain and fill every 3-5 years and you're gonna be fine. Definitely would use actual OEM fluid.

One of our 4Runners has a dipstick and the newer one doesn't and I swear to God, I want to wring the neck of the engineer who convinced management to save $5 per car by not having a dipstick. It makes doing a drain and fill so so easy.
