how many lumens

so im trying to figure out what bulb to get....who cares application
LED bulbs list how many lumens
non LED bulbs often list color/heat range...but don't list lumens

so Im an old fart...how am is supposed to compare easily

id take a cool operating LED over a halogen if I knew it pushed the same amount of lumens

reminds me of a Ron White show....how many coupons
don't know Ron White, then you don't get it

kind of like a picnic...comparing foods comparing tater salads

Which bulbs? Lumen specs are readily available for halogen headlight bulbs.

Also be wary of the claimed output from some of those LED resellers, they're often very inflated. For example a OEM HID bulb produces 3200 lumens, you'll find $30 LED headlight bulbs claimed to produce 10,000 lumens...suuuure.

So long as All Else is Equal with regard to the halogen vs. LED or whatever other type of bulb, ultimately it's what the eye's see that matters. I've seen more than one LED that pushes all the lumens in the wrong directions and others that do a better job. They're getting better all the time... :cowboy:
