My chassis has 244,000. Babe just got sent to the mechanic for fully rebuilt engine and trans! Since I have almost zero rust, its gonna be like picking it up from the dealership!

It's impressive... I've seen this engine hit 490k miles and the owner had a head gasket finally go.

He's based in the UK. They use miles but their gallon is larger than ours. Even so, that's still impressive.

I think the exhaust has made a big difference. I can't vouch for my memories of the stock one as it was holed and replaced very shortly after I took ownership but on a regular trip down to the SW Coast (exactly 300 miles each way) I am using just over 10 gallons.

Y'know what? I was impressed too, did not spare it the clog. We are paying about US $6.50 a gallon (1 UK gallon = 1.2 'Mericuhs) which is why diesels are so popular over here.

Air filters-20K, plugs/wires-80k, tires-100k, rotors/pads-100k, rear diff and transfer case oil-100k

Blower motor replaced at 200k, clock broke at 250(never fixed). Muffler at 250k. I had a coil go once and a fuel injector, can't remember when.

Also, I always use synthetic oil-10k

My 98 has 345,000 miles on it. They bought it new; I bought it from them in 2009 when it had about 150,000 miles on it.
