We have an 05 Sport 2WD V8 with 207,000 and haven't had any major issues with regular maintenance but the transmission seems to be slipping and I'm wondering how long I'm going to get out of it. It's like when you stop at a stop sign I brake and then 2 seconds later I fell the transmission pull back, hard to explain and sometimes when I accelerate it's sluggish to switch from gear to gear like 2-3 secs between and you can hear/feel it struggling. The transmission fluid is fine so I'm guessing it needs a new tranny? How much would that even be? I just don't understand how some of you have 210+ without replacing the trans or anything, am I just unlucky? Also the window tint is peeling and has spots and I have a check engine light on and the dealer doesn't know what it is, thinks it's either something simple or the gas cap/tank needs to be replaces (quotes $900 for that). Thinking of buying another one of these but I really don't want tranny or other problems after 200k... I thought they were indestructible!
