How many miles per tank to you get?

I have an 06 4runner with the 4.0 in it and I get 19.6 MPG every fill up wether I am driving highway or city. hopefully it will get better with the summer blend.

You need to add about 6% to the odo miles for the tire change. Also, the BFG weight and tread pattern will hit mileage significantly.

Thanks JB! Do we have any substantiated data to show this via GPS (or other method), and not necessarily using the difference in tire size? I am curious as to what the accuracy is of the computer odometer is with the OEM tire size.

I never measured against the stock 31" tire, but the 6% is based on extensive GPS testing against the odo while running BFG 265/70/17. With my current tire (see sig) the adjustment is closer to 5%.

Tread wear obviously changes things, but as I recall 6% works as a good round number for most of the life of the tire.

That's pretty bad range!

On a full tank and resetting the trip meter, I used to get 380 miles when it was hot in LA. When it started raining and getting colder, I now get about 300-320 miles. I have a 116k miles right now as we speak.

I don't mean to threadjack, but what can I do to increase mileage? Some things that I want to do are:

-Clean MAF sensor
-Clean throttle body
-Use Seafoam
-Oil change (tomorrow)

What I've done:

-Rotated tires, filled to 35psi (Saturday)

I don't go past 330 miles on the odmeter, then I fill it up but I think I could get more.
I did get 24 MPG on the mpg computer though but I was lyte footing it.
2003 SR5 V6 just hit 100,000 miles

Don't forget to change your air filter if you haven't done so in a while, and maybe your gas cap & spark plugs if they're due as well.

I'm at around the same miles on the odometer and about the same fuel economy, too. I'm thinking about replacing the oxygen sensors as well. It would be nice to be back to 20-22 MPG like I was when the thing was new.

306 Miles (No Gas Light)

Made a concerted effort to fill the take as much as possible. Tank was just off of E, light just came on. The pumped auto-clicked off at 14.5 gallons, I was then able to slowly dribble fuel in all the way to 17.00 gal exactly. Tank was so full that a small pool was sitting at the top of the neck.
99' Limited - Completley Stock (135k miles)
Stock size tires at 35psi
70% freeway (+\- 60 mph) 30% in town stop and go
AC on 90% of the time
Fresh oil change and brand new Toyota air filter

I pulled into the gas station at 306 miles, guage was couple ticks above E with no gas light on.

Equates to exactly 18 MPG. Not the best mileage but it runs flawlessly.
