How many offers you got for your 4Runner?

I've actually got quite a few people asking me if I was interested in selling my 4runner. You don't see many 4wd 4runners around where I live and when one comes up for sale it sells really fast.

Only one I think on the 4runner, but tons on my old '93 pickup. I'd find a note on it every couple of months.
Man that's unheard of here in California. Mine has 287k on it.
That's a very tempting price... He offered 4k for mine, I just said no try Craigslist. He looks like he just wanted a pavement pounder.

I haven't had any cash offers, I think mainly because anyone that has met me knows I'm not interested in selling, but I often hear "if you ever think of selling it, let me know". Even the guy that sold it to me to said this to me.

I get offers all the time on my totally stock '89 2wd pick up w/22re! People walk in the door at my office asking who owns the truck and if they can buy it. I find notes on the windshield and even get the trash guys that knock on my door at home asking if it's for sale.
It cracks my wife up. She wouldn't be caught dead in my little, faded red toy truck. She just can't understand why people want it so badly...until she thinks about me having owned it since sept of '88 with ZERO trips to the shop, and still use it as my daily driver :biggrin2:

I have had six offers, since I bought the 97 4R, a year and a half ago. It is clean and in good shape and many want the older models.

Mostly people asking to trade, generally from shittier 4Runner or Jeeps that aren't worth 1/2 of what my 3rd gen is.

I've had several people ask to let them knoww when I want to sell it... prolly on the order of 5. But the best was on my way to the grocery store, I was lusting at a brand new stingray 'vette, when all of a sudden it makes a u turn while I'm getting outta my truck an walking into the store.
Corvette makes a B-line STRAIGHT AT ME. I'm a little jumpy at this point, as the guy pulls next to me, rolls down his windows and says "HEY, how long you had that 4runner!?". I told him it had been in the family since 1999 (its a 1997), and he asked if I had ever thought about selling.
Turns out he bought the corvette after another driver totalled his 4runner and he wanted another one. I told him everything had a price but I sentimentally valued the 4runner at $6000. He understood why I priced way over kbb/nada (I really can't see NOT having this truck), but declined the offer. Then I offered a straight trade- 4runner for stingray... his face got serious, AS IF HE WAS SERIOUSLY CONTEMPLATING THE OFFER, im not sh!#!7@ you, and then declined again.
case and point... the soul is less enriched by a supercar than by our runners. Keep running' my friends.

I've had 3 offers all in the 5-7k range, and a plethora of comments. Most say it looks great to be 14 years old. Never had any offers or compliments on it until I got it repainted and the PO's damage fixed. The paint was baddddd, as was some of the body. Ill never let it go.

yeah i have had offers, of like $8k... i literally laughed at the guy. when legitimately had it up for sale last year, i had one guy offer me $6k for it, -that was after he read through my list of mods, saw all of my pictures, saw my stack(box) of receipts, all the spare/extra parts ect that came with it... i told him to "f**k off" to his face and not come back until he had double that in cash. i told him thats barely what i paid for it in 2010 when i bought it and it was 99% stock.
i figure most people who inquire about if your vehicle is for sale, are out looking for a killer deal or someone who does not know what they have... the only problem is, the people who take pride in their vehicles and put a lot of time and extra money into them modifying them know what they have, and know what things are worth...
