How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Hi y'all. I joined the forum today but have been reading so much great info since Saturday. I brought home a 2016 T4R for my wife today.

We are in the Salt Lake Valley of Utah. We picked up a 2016 4Runner SR5 Premium with the All Weather Mats for $37,116.06
I then added a emblem black out kit, roof rail black out and tinted front windows for $577.95 installed. Total cash price before TTL was $37,694.01

From my personal experience in dealing with the sales folks, they don't offer much discounts on Tacoma's or T4R's, as these two vehicles will "sell itself".

Maybe if you were shopping for a Corolla or Camry..that's different story.

I did the same and paid $36k before tax which was below invoice ($36.6 invoice), so I'd say you're getting a good deal as well. Mine had 2 add-ons - roof rack cross bars and all weather mats (which btw are cheaper than the carpet mats by $25) but that's it. I tried to get the two dealers to go lower, or throw on TRD wheels or BFG KO2 tires but they stood firm and I realized I'd reached their pricing floor. Markup over invoice isn't as high as you'd think. I'd negotiated one down to $36k over a few weeks and the dealer I ultimately bought from (had the right truck on the lot and we'd purchased my wife's vehicle from them a few years back) was eager to match despite taking a loss just to steal a sale from a rival dealer. I financed through USAA and did not purchase any extended warranties or add-ons, and was up front that I would not be doing so, so they knew they weren't going to be making any money on me through those other channels. Apparently moving product and increasing dealer sales volume is worth it with such high demand.

I finally found what I was looking for, sr5, 4x4, with the 3rd row. Msrp was 38500 and paid 34500. The true car helped me out a lot with the shopping to find the best deal.

Probably could have gotten it down another 500-1k, but they ended up giving an extra 2k on the trade over what it was worth, so it evened out.

on monday we picked up a 16' Nautical blue pearl limited. sticker 44k we paid 40k before trade in and down payment.

You got a good deal. I paid a 37500 cash for my 15 trail with same specs last year but didn't get a lifetime powertrain warranty. And i think I did a little better because the 16s were looming.

Thanks, the dealer said they have their own independent warranty company that allows them to do this, it also is good at any dealer nation wide, as I am moving soon it was a huge factor in where we bought. The dealer wasn't forthcoming about it and I had to mention it a few times until they finally pulled it out to sign. I think they offer it, but don't like actually giving it out

uhh... 4wd, we got all weather floor mats, and we got remote starter I haven't been driving it so other options I'm not sure of
