How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Picked up a 2016 Nautical Blue TEP w/KDSS for what I was told was invoice price, $39622 plus the "mandatory" $499 dealer fee. Had a trade, so tax was lower, then extended with Platinum warranty for 6 yrs or 75k miles for $750. I normally wouldn't, but at that price I couldn't pass it up...though being a Toyota, hopefully it won't ever be needed.

Very nice! I have the same truck with the same color and paid essentially the same in Maryland. Enjoy it!! I love mine.

New here. Thanks for the research. Finally picked ours up last night!

2016 MGM TEP with addons that we didn't want but couldn't negotiate out. 38.6 plus TTL they did throw in "free tint".

We bought the EW, but now kicking myself seeing as how we got duped on the price. Hope to be canceling and finding it cheaper elsewhere

Not posting any paperwork because I don't care if anyone believes me or not. I will elaborate a little though.

Final $ was 40,829. But they accidentally slipped in gap insurance which I didn't need because I put $26k down. The stupid gap stuff was $800 bringing it down to 40,029. Then they have me $100 credit towards the undercoating. Knocking it down to right under $40k. Our sales tax is only 4% just recently up from 3%

I did forget to mention (and this is prob why you're scratching your head) the extended warranty I had already paid for and transferred to 4runner (sold the Highlander to private party for $29k moved its warranty to 4R) . So if that would have been added in - otd would be 39,929 + $1700

Sorry for any confusion. Still a great deal in the 4runner world. IMO

The same...and yes, they seem to like putting lots of logos on their vehicles. I had a great sales guy who told them not to do any of that, so as soon as I get plates, it will be free of dealer advertising.

I can also appreciate the extra money...I've already ordered TRD wheels, soon to get AT tires, likely sliders very soon too, then a bunch of gear for off-roading like tire deflators, beefy off-road air compressor, some recovery gear, etc. :heh:

8% Wow! Guess they get you one way or another. Yeah, the Highlander was only 2 years old, didn't even use the warranty so it was paid for and credited on over to the 4Runner. Sometimes I reply very quick and don't explain much lol.

BUT - they got me for an extended warranty, 10yr 100k miles $1400.

It is the SET-Fidelity product, not a real toyota extra care plan.

Haven't pulled the trigger but my dealer just got in a '16 TEP with kdss and today was quoted 39,800 OTD.

It's about the standard deal around here and thinking of waiting 3 months and getting a '17 at this point as I thought the deals would be better on a '16...


Really like the white as it's my first choice and the color of the one on the lot (could not test drive today still wrapped and prepped) as I'm unsure if we want kdss or not.

I'd do weather tech mats over factory mats. I put weather techs in every vehicle I buy, a must do investment and my Ram is an '07 and the carpet is still new. I.m ordering mats tonight and don't have my Runner here yet.:laugh:

Fort Worth Purchase

Bought my first 4runner, 2016 Trail Premium with the following changes: all leather interior, cooled / heated seats, Husky all weather mats, 3" toytec lift with 5100 blisteins, SPC upper control arms, 17" SCS Ray10 wheels, 285/70/R17 Toyo Open Country tires, TRD grille change. I paid $45,300 for the truck & options plus $3,281 tt&l (6.25% tax) - for a total out the door of $48,581. I'm not sure if this was a good deal, but either way I'm happy and in love with the truck.

Sorry to hijack the thread but i’ve come to you guys for some advise, I don’t doubt that it’s going to be a biased answer but I would like to hear everyone’s take on this.

I’ve got my eyes set on a new 4Runner Trail Premium with the KDSS package and I’ve been able to get a dealer to hand over the keys for $662 per month for 72 months that’s $47,664 after its all said and done including Tax Tag and Interest.

Now I would be rolling over negative equity on a Lexus IS350-F Sport that I leased for 3 years at $562 ($20,232). I’m 1 year into the lease and the buyout now is $40,000. If I keep the Lexus, I am expecting to be able to buy it at the end of the lease for $24,000.

I’m laying out all the numbers because id like a rational answer on what you all think is best.

Rational? Wait out your lease before jumping into something else.

A 6 year loan is long enough to begin with, you don't need to throw negative equity in there.
