How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

Hi- New owner here.
I picked up a '16 TEP with KDSS and Crossbars for 39,053 last week. I'm super excited about it. This is my first 4Runner but have wanted one for a long time. I just put on NFab Nerf Bars last night so my 3yo can climb in by herself. Weathertechs are on order. I already have Thule ski carriers installed and my 1Up bike carrier on the hitch. I plan on leaving mine stock for a while. I may opt for a small lift when I finally wear out the OE tires.

$2500 CDN off with cargo liner included.
Cash. 16km's on ODO , not a demo.
They still charged $1700 and $500 doc fee's.
I've been searching for months locally here in Canada , Vancouver . Most dealers here were not discounting off the new 4runners. I think it's end of year and slow in November, hence the significant discount. There were not manufacturer rebates.
Hope this helps the Canadian people purchasing to give them some sort of baseline. The pricing difference is hard to compare with the USA. Every market is different. This was a no brainer for me, SR5's locally are holding their value, therefore for a mere $5000 more, I got myself into something brand new will full warranty, compared to a 2 year old, 30K km's used.

You don't want to pay on anything for 6 years. I'd wait. 36 months tops should be a goal on a car.
I save til I can just about pay for it. I put $26k down and financed $13k on my new T4R... I'm paying about $1k each month just to get it paid off asap. The 4R's aren't cheap but not bad price wise relatively speaking. I know not everyone can do this but 6 years is a loooong time. You'll never have equity. I've been fortunate enough to pay outright for most anything I bought under $30k.... and knowing you won't be paying on something forever is awesome. A mental trick I used on myself for years was to keep repeating what my age will be the loan would mature. 6 years from now seems like an eternity. I'm just saying dont be a slave to a car payment. Too many good deals out there, pay cash for something cheap, keep it a few years and save up..... once u are able to pay cash or damn near for a "nice new" vehicle you are set.... you will be able to repeat this for your next "nice new" vehicle

Sorry to hijack the thread but i’ve come to you guys for some advise, I don’t doubt that it’s going to be a biased answer but I would like to hear everyone’s take on this.
I’ve got my eyes set on a new 4Runner Trail Premium with the KDSS package and I’ve been able to get a dealer to hand over the keys for $662 per month for 72 months that’s $47,664 after its all said and done including Tax Tag and Interest.
Now I would be rolling over negative equity on a Lexus IS350-F Sport that I leased for 3 years at $562 ($20,232). I’m 1 year into the lease and the buyout now is $40,000. If I keep the Lexus, I am expecting to be able to buy it at the end of the lease for $24,000.
I’m laying out all the numbers because id like a rational answer on what you all think is best.

The weathertechs are a must. I have some in mine already too. They're the best
Trying to decide on the CARGO area all weather mat... prob get weathertech but still looking
Those are the exact specs I just ordered. No wheeling/dealing up here other than a couple of rebates. Can't get over the ordering process... not impressed.
Picked up a 2016 Nautical Blue TEP w/KDSS for what I was told was invoice price, $39622 plus the "mandatory" $499 dealer fee. Had a trade, so tax was lower, then extended with Platinum warranty for 6 yrs or 75k miles for $750. I normally wouldn't, but at that price I couldn't pass it up...though being a Toyota, hopefully it won't ever be needed.
Those are the exact specs I just ordered. No wheeling/dealing up here other than a couple of rebates. Can't get over the ordering process... not impressed.

$37,294 best pice based on MSRP $39,699, included all weather mats. Added some other accessories on top of that price and negotiated the extended warranty, 5 year full service contract and 5 year glass/windshield replacement (I live in CO) at 40% off (figured I was giving the dealer a 10% margin).

WeatherTech vs All Weather Mats
I was going to get WeatherTech but dealer would not give me credit for all weather mats that were already on the vehicle. I took it in for some additional accessories today and they put in WeatherTech by mistake (was on the original order but I didn't pay for them). I told the tech and had them taken back out but not before I had a chance to see them installed. If I can find someone to buy my all weather mats I would definitely get the WeatherTech - I really like the way they come up higher on the sides. I will say that the WeatherTech cargo mat looked very similar to the Toyota all weather mat so probably won't replace that one.

Yeah the only reason I have not pulled the trigger on the weather tech cargo mat is because Im still hoping to score an OEM one

Not posting any paperwork because I don't care if anyone believes me or not. I will elaborate a little though.
Final $ was 40,829. But they accidentally slipped in gap insurance which I didn't need because I put $26k down. The stupid gap stuff was $800 bringing it down to 40,029. Then they have me $100 credit towards the undercoating. Knocking it down to right under $40k. Our sales tax is only 4% just recently up from 3%
I did forget to mention (and this is prob why you're scratching your head) the extended warranty I had already paid for and transferred to 4runner (sold the Highlander to private party for $29k moved its warranty to 4R) . So if that would have been added in - otd would be 39,929 + $1700
Sorry for any confusion. Still a great deal in the 4runner world. IMO

Let me tell you more about my money expenditures.
The day after buying it I ordered. $600 set of tires, $200 bilsteins, TRD Pro front end almost $600, tinted front windows $60(my buddy), weathertech's $200, WEATHERTECH vent guards $115, gray TRD wheels $725, AVS slim bug shield $55 and a wheelskins steering wheel cover $55 - Not posting receipts
I'm more interested in seeing pics of your 4Runner with the gray trd wheels!
