Hello everybody! Long time lurker here. And have been looking into an SUV for a while now. The wealth of information from all of you has swayed me into purchasing 2017 Magnetic Grey TRD Off Road Premium w/Kdss, moonroof, all weather floor mat liners, and some other addons I did not care for. Such as the running boards, roof rack cross bars, chrome exhaust tip, and the dreaded remote start. All for $40,054 + CA TTL:mmph:. Sticker price with options was $43,473. I also went through the Costco program. There was only 1 mile on the odomter. So I think I was one of the first to test drive it.
Now I just have to figure out how to swap out the OEM remote start for the Compustar that I have just sitting in my closet.

The wife just purchased a 2017 off road premium in blue nautical pearl. KDSS, graphite wheels, sunroof, running boards, and the PRO front end installed at the dealer. 40699 plus tags and title.

Newb here. My first TR4 is on a boat headed into Benicia, CA. Should arrive for me week of 7/19. Worked with a broker in Auburn, CA. Getting a 2017 TRD Off-road Premium with KDSS, moonroof, running boards, all weather floor liners, paint protection and roof rack cross bars. Not my ideal set of options, but thanks to my teenage son getting smeared (he was fine) in our 12 prius, needed to speed up our vehicle. I'm paying $39,998 plus TT&L. This came in about $1300 less than the Costco price quoted by my local dealer.

I have a dealer holding firm at MSRP $43,750 on a Cement 4Runner that's on the lot. Am I crazy to be walking on it? I have another dealer offering me $1500 over invoice if I order but they won't guarantee I can get one.

Something I learned today that maybe help other members willing to buy a car out of state to either drive it back home or ship it.. Texas apparently is one of other big Toyota distributor asides from Cali.. If you want to get a good bargain because volume of sales hit up the surrounding dealership..

One of my buddies got a TRD PRO 2 months ago for 41k OTD.

Im regretting not pulling the trigger on a 2016's a few months back, that could be had for $38,000.

Costco pricing on Long Island, NY:

SR5 Premium - $39,700
Limited - $44,900

Both above were 2017 models in magnetic gray with 4x4, sunroof, third row and all weather mats. Price is before tax and administrative fees.

Ending up going with the Limited due to the nice amenities it comes with. X-REAS just felt so nice on the road. Apparently there is no negotiation with Costco pricing. To help seal the deal, dealer gave us $1000 more for our trade-in compared to 2 other dealers of another vehicle make.

I highly doubt a dealership sold a TRD Pro for $4-5k below MSRP. I've seen people claim $500-$1000 below MSRP, but never anything less than that.

If he did, I want him to teach me how to negotiate.
