Most of us finance 40-50K purchases I would think. So, like when pizza is best (IMHO) and most worth the money is when it is piping hot out, right out of the oven. We love it and are happy to pay up for it. But down the road when the car payment is still as high as it was, and the pizza not as tasty so to speak. Many of us are no longer as in love with our purchases. Now it becomes really hard for someone to justify that the color they had to have was worth the extra money. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking there are going to be a lot of expensive Cement color TRDPs in the future, especially in SoCal.

Definitely a good price.
My wife is 5.1 and she doesnt want running boards for ours. But if you want nerf bars. theres is a set for sale in Kingwood on CL.
Guys, if prices in CA are $5-7k more than MSRP, get on Autotrader/CarGurus, etc. Have a CC ready, find the one you want. Many times, they won't even run the card, but now they know you are a real buyer.
Shop around, the internet is your friend. I searched for a couple of days, found my TRD Pro in Mass on Cape Cod of all places, put it on a transporter, was here in a week.
Paid $43400 plus $850 to get it here. Was literally at the dealer for 2 days before I snagged it.
Had 6 miles on the clock when it got here. Don't let a West Coast stealership ream you a new one.
The ease with which we can shop today makes it really easy. Look at a couple exotic car forums for recommended transporters. I hear Premier a lot.
Gone are the days of driving around to dealerships. I'd almost rather just do a deal with an internet manager than some floor toolbar. Take it or leave it terms, concrete numbers, fewer games, less of the power and control metric.
If you seriously want a TRD Pro, shop around, put it on a truck, have it in a week.

1. Don't feel like you can't negotiate further.
2. If you want a better price, finance through them, make one payment and then pay the loan off. They are willing to work with you more if you finance through them bc then they anticipate making money on the loan. However, do not tell them you will immediately pay it off. That's your secret.
Must make sure there isn't an early payoff penalty.

Wow!!! That's horrible! You should have flown out to New England, got one under MSRP, had it shipped home, and with the $5K or more you would ha e saved, taken your family on a nice Caribbean cruise.

Gonna pull the trigger on a new 2018 trd off-road premium when the start coming in.Do I really need kdss? My use for the 4Runner will be hauling my dirt bike on a hitch hauler,camping, and light trails.

I'm also planning on buying a 2018 Off-Road Premium. I've driven both KDSS and non-KDSS and there is a huge difference in on-road handling. For me anyway, KDSS will be a must-have option. Much better handling and way less body roll when turning.
Welcome to the forum. Can you even get those without kdss in our region? I couldn't find a regular '17 off road without kdss in any color in Cali.
As for what you need or not, that's for you to decide. I was more interested in the locker than kdss but I had to get them both.

Kdss vs non kdss
I have both a 2016 Trail Edition with KDSS which is my wife's 4Runner and I have a 2017 TRD OFF ROAD without KDSS, I also had a 2011 trail edition I drove for 6 years that had KDSS. There is a difference in the handling and feeling of kdss vs non kdss with the better feeling one being KDSS, but for me it came down to price for the second one i got and it just wasn't that serious to me. In say if you can get it for no more that's a 1200 or so more than the non kdss than do it. If price is an issue then don't. KDSS is a cool and proven system that does provide 3 inches more of wheel travel, look at it this way the pro doesn't have it and neither have most 4wheel drives that still kick ass out there. I say just get what you want and don't look back. Enjoy your new ride.
