How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I finally did a test drive of a base 2019 4 runner. The salesman gave me a quote for a 4WD. Didn't realize it until I got home. Sticker $37,893 saving 2,000, trade in $500. Sales tax $2,300. Dealer service fee $800 Tags Registration $600, floor mats, dent and appearance protection ( I don't know what this is except for the floor mats) $1300. Out the door $40,307... What a big headache. Not much fun. I didn't really enjoy the test drive the salesman talked to much and made me nervous. He was worried about my driving skills. I am getting old. This is going to take some time and work to get any sort of deal.

what T4R did you get from Priority. I am currently trying to see if I can lower their price. this is what I was quoted for 18 sr5 4x4 pri with 3rd row seat. is that good deal?

Just picked up an 18 SR5 premium 4x4 with moonroof

MSRP $40,190

PP $34,857

Used Navy federal auto buying program to get offer and had local dealer match the price.

Sounds about right for an '18..
 
Closing a deal ona 2019 TRD OR Premium with Sunroof for under $36K will be signing docs tomorrow and will report more after closing.


If the Dealer is near you and you can get it for $36.5 with the matts, thats a very good price IMO.

You still did Great... You can always add KDSS later... guys take it off of their T4R all the time...

My OR standard came with KDSS and it was $40,046 OTD

i was in the dealership a couple of weeks ago. I could have got the exact same thing out the door, except this was a 2018 they were trying to move, for $33k. They would budge no further.

So that being a 19, I would say a good deal.

It may of been my mind playing tricks but the ORP with KDSS seemed to drive smoother than the Pro. Both had the cargo sliding deck and since the ORP had the XP package it came with the same grill, tires, step bars, window tint, sunroof as the Pro. The only differences was the Pro of course had the black valances vs silver and the roof rack.

Price for Pro was $49, 674
Price for ORP was $49, 111

The Pro had zero wiggle room and the ORP premium I was able to get down to $43,800 OTD which I couldn't walk away from. Still don't know if I got the best deal but I'm certainly satisfied![/QUOTE
I wonder what they are comparing the 4 runner too saying you will burn $3500 more in fuel in 5years? Heres the problem with all this new fuel saving technology. Yes you get killer gas mileage, but when all that new fangled crap breaks down. Guess what, your repair bill will far exceed what fuel you buy...
