How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

I paid $49,946 for my Voodoo Blue TRDP 2 weeks ago in Corpus Christi, TX. Dealer added on window tint, paint protective film, undercoating, etc. on it, and even threw in the cargo cover in the back for free.

No upcharge for me either, but I had to drive 450 miles from home (one way) for that deal (I live in North DFW - local dealerships were charging $5k over MSRP and couldn't deliver for 6 - 8 weeks).

I'm extremely happy with the deal I got and even happier with my first 4Runner. If you're ever having a bad day just go drive through parking lots with your sunroof open...

So far I've overheard, "Oh SHIT! What is THAT!?"

And, "That is uh-mayyy-zingggg"

among other comments. Always puts a smile on my face, knowing what I went through to get this thing.

Very cool! Congrats! People love the color. The Voodoo Blue doesn't present so well in a photo but it pops in person. I had to see one before I committed but once I did, I was hooked. I love all the special colors and they all are evocative of different time periods. The quicksand reminds me of the offroading I did in the 70s. The Concrete and Cavalry remind me of car colors in that period. The Voodoo Blue is "1980's era wheeling." Toyota knows what they are doing. Now...I might replace the rack if I cannot mount my surfboards and gear to it safely. Otherwise its fine.

2018 4Runner Limited in MGM

Ok guys. I've been trying to deal with a local dealer here in Southeast TN. I'm wondering how good of a deal it is before I pull the trigger.

MSRP$46,867 So far, I've talked them down to $41,800 before tags, tax, etc. So, I figure about $44k or $45 OTTD. That is with $1500 cash back (runs out tomorrow).

I would also like to know how everyone did their financing. You do it at the dealership or bring your own financing with you? The lowest interest rate at 60 months that i've seen so far is right around 3.5%. I should be fine as my score is right around 775-800. Just don't want to get screwed at the dealership if I don't take my own financing with me.

What do you guys think??

First post here, I've been shopping for a 4runner and got a dealer to $42,200 OTD for a TRD off road premium in magnetic gray. Has the off-road package with the TRD wheels and Nitto tires, rock rails with removable steps, black badges, all weather mats, moonroof, charging and connectivity kit, and cargo cross bars. MSRP is $44,513. Is this a solid deal?

Also got a quote from another dealer for an off road premium with moonroof for $40,200 OTD.

Not sure which one I want to go with. I actually like the TRD wheels and wouldn't change them, if I did it would not be for a long time. I would black out the decals on the second model so that I can do myself if I go with that one. I can always buy side steps as they don't come with any. Basically another 2 grand for the other extras and accessories. Just comes down to if it's worth it. I feel I can get both dealers to budge a little more which I'm going to try.

$37200. OTD was about $38k (no sales tax in oregon, just half of a percent luxury tax) . MSRP was $41,299 so pretty happy with the deal. Could have got a grey one w/o rack crossbars for about $200 less but wife wanted white.

2018 leftovers

New to the forum and looking at 2 different 4Runners.


1st is SR5 4x4 premium audio for $35,555 OTD ($799 dealer fee, 6% tax and $199 tag in that price)

2nd is SR5 Premium 4x2 moon roof, floor mats & cargo mat , 3rd row seat. Same dealer fee and taxes included this one is $37,455 OTD.

Are these good deals? Or do I need to beat them up some more? Thanks for the help.

How far is Phoenix from "So Cal"? That's where I got mine. Larry Miller Toyota in Peoria. Check with them. Not sure if it is legal to buy a vehicle in Phoenix though since California's emissions may be higher.

Last year I paid 40k even on a TRD ORP with moonroof, KDSS, and sliding rear cargo. Also had the roof rails and floormats but no big deal if you don't get those. The floormats are just ok and the floormat for the sliding rear cargo is crap. It didn't have any rock rails or step rails which i didn't want anyway. Mine didn't have the TRD Pro wheels but I really didn't want a 7" wheel anyway so I got SCS wheels about a year after I bought it, made by the same company. My recommendation is to buy wheels and tires immediately after your purchase and sell the stock wheels and tires brand new before you drive on them much. I waited and only got 30k out of my stock Duelers.

I have read on this topic some others getting even cheaper than what I got. Seems like So Cal is expensive.

2018 leftover SR5 Premium with sunroof, roof rail cross bars, door edge guards, wheel locks, all-weather floor mats and cargo area mat and cargo cover. During negotiations the black OEM running boards were offered to me at half price (wife with back issues and 8 year old daughter).

$36,245 including tax but not registry fees. MSRP was a bit over $40,800. Not a smoking deal but I don't feel like shopping anymore.

Both sound like an awesome deal, take it and run with it. Definitely better than what most CA dealers are offering.

I picked up my 2018 SR5 4x4 about two months ago for $34k here in SoCal. Included the cargo mat, cargo cover, and roof rack cross bars. MSRP on it was $38,500 so I feel like I got a good deal... (Debated the 4x4 since I now live in San Diego, but couldn't bring myself to get a 4x2.)

Happy to be back in a 4Runner! My first vehicle was a 1986 T4R 1st gen (hence the handle) - loved that truck!
