Seems like no dealers in NYC/LI wants to sell cars. contacted 8 dealers on Friday, 2 got back.

1 offered 8.1% off MSRP on a 2020 Limited(Advantage Toyota)

Then another dealer was not sure if I qualify the $500 rebate from Toyota but said he would do me a favor and just offer that to me. He basically wanted full asking price for a 2020 Limited. I told him to never call me again. :argue: (Huntington Toyota-sales manager Ceasar)

Guess no one is in enough financial trouble yet to make any sales?!?!

Looking at a 2018 SR5 4WD, its a CPO with 22k miles for $31500 here in AZ, that's just vehicle price. Any thoughts?

Its been a while since I have followed pricing (several years) but I recall folks getting SR5's in the 32-34 range brand new. Seems like even on the upper end you are only saving ~$2500 for a 2 year old vehicle with 22k miles on it - not worth it in my opinion and I would go new

It was not a good experience, other than the price they were a **** to deal with in every way, so I will not recommend them to anyone.

So far it seems to be about a 4-5k difference looking at CPO with 20k miles vs a new 2020.

Its a tough call , lets split the difference and say $4500 which is not chump change - part of me says new because you know how it was driven and maintained and that the first 20k are the "best miles" but the reality is money does not grow on trees - its a 4runner (dead nuts reliable and mine with 65k and 80k do not drive any different then when new). Take a look at the tires, they should not need replacing but if they are close thats another $800+

at the end of the day if its the color you want, is in great shape I don't think you are getting bent over. (Everyone has to make money....deals should be fair)

For what its worth I recently picked up one for the wife, a 2015 TEP w/ KDSS for 25K+Tax private party with almost 80k on it and I don't think I stole it but considering its condition was excellent and they were almost all highway miles it was what we were looking for.

Best price I was quoted OTD (6% sales tax) for a ORP KDSS was $45k, Venture with KDSS was $47k, and $53k for a TRD Pro. I didn't expect much on the TRD Pro but was really surprised they wouldn't do much on a ORP/Venture either.

It's a bit apples/oranges, and it's odd times with Covid and won't be popular on a Toyota forum, but honestly with the deals right now a GMC 1500 AT4/Chevy Trail Boss is looking really good, 420hp, dual climate control, better interior lighting, better on road manners, auto headlights, heated steering wheel, blind spot monitoring, better safety rating, less plastic feeling interior, more room, full LED lights, more towing, better camera/display, same gas mileage. The 4runner is more up my alley as I've had my 98' S10 for 20 years, but it's hard to justify paying $53k for something without any of the above. No doubt the Toyota is more reliable, and probably a bit better off road with the 30" shorter wheelbase, but not sure it's worth trading all of the above for at the same price.

Yep that was with taxes/fees. The best offers I found were basically about $2k under MSRP then adding taxes/fees. Most were staying very close to MSRP and a few were even holding over MSRP. Even though I can find almost 100 TRD Pro's in a 200 mile radius. While for example GM was basically offering $10k off MSRP and 0% for 84 months.

What I wonder is it seems like many of the car companies have stopped production, and normally 2021's would be right around the corner, mid summer, early summer for some. I wonder if they have wrote off 2020 models, and when they restart it will all be 2021's. If that's the case dealers are probably not worried at all about immediately selling what's on the lot now because they are not having truckloads of new cars coming for awhile.

I found that WA dealers don't really negotiate unless you have a counter offer. I would check Oregon as well. There are a ton of toyota dealers in the portland area and they seem more competitive on price.

What dealer if you dont mind me asking? I am in the same boat as you, though I am looking for the ORP w/ out the sunroof. Hoping for a sale down to $39k-ish

I'm looking at ORP w/ KDSS and I'm getting quoted at 45k OTD in SoCal right now. Like the previous poster, if I can get it at 43K OTD then I'd be driving down the dealer right now.

First time back on forum in 6 years! Sold my '13 T4R Limited in '14 and have been driving an '18 Tacoma TRD Pro, OV tuned for the past 2 1/2 years. I can't take it anymore! Nice truck but horrible auto tranny, shifts whenever it damn well pleases. Ready to get back into a Runner.
Thought I wanted to stay Pro ('20) and worked a "deal" $2900 off MSRP. Sounded great but when they quoted my Tacoma trade value, it was more than $6K less than another dealer was giving me toward a '20 ORP w/ sunroof AND KDSS. So here's my question: Is $4500 off MSRP on the ORP as stated ($46K offered at $41.5K) reasonable? They offered me pretty top dollar for my trade ($36.8K) and I'm thinking I might like the KDSS ride as well, or better, than the Pro. Also, it's local (30 miles away) and there are no other ORP's w/ KDSS within another 200+ miles. Thoughts? Thanks, and it's good to be back!

Admittedly, I'm not big on the TRD Pro stuff... But I'd be all over the KDSS. I'd never look back.
