How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

From what I've read, that would be a great deal on a Pro.
I got about nearly 10% off an 2020 ORP last week.
If you're set on a TRD Pro, I would say that's a great price. In some markets they demand a premium over MSRP.
You can do better than 7% off on the other trim levels, however, if you're open to them.
I felt the same "lack of inventory" pressure while shopping for my ORP. I ultimately pulled the trigger last week. I wasn't totally satisfied with my price, but I was within a few hundred dollars so I made the deal.

I only paid $38k for my 2018 TRD Off Road Premium when it was brand new here in the Chicago burbs. Quick glance on Cars.com has them listed in the $42-43k range mostly right now. Pros are advertised between $50-52k range here.
I had bad experience negotiating when calling. I stick to email, leave out my phone number and just ask them for their best price. Usually its' in the 41-42k range but a few were willing to play. Ignored anyone who quoted 43k+ and eventually the rest would "follow up" which is when I would tell them about the lower offer, slowly got down to 39~

At 7% off MSRP you are approaching the dealer invoice price for a PRO. I bought mine last year around this time (2019) at invoice because I work for a preferred supplier/partner, which was about 9.5% off. At invoice, I think dealers make around 2-3%.

Trading in my 2018 TRD ORP w/KDSS Bilstein FJ pro kit with only 19k miles on it for a 2020 TRD ORP with out KDSS.
I got $32,500 for mine and paid $38,000.
I just put a Eibach pro lift kit in yesterday. 2.75 for 1.5 rear with Cornfed 1/2" spacer on top of the Eibach coils.
I will say I'm really liking this TRD ORP with out KDSS... Rides a whole lot smoother the my 2018 ORP w/KDSS. Granted I had the Bilstein FJ pro kit with Toytec 1" perch spacers. I rode good just firm

Mostly has to do with monthly payment. I’ll be leasing to own. Got a quote for $431/month plus all fees 36/12k, $0 down. This sounds a lot more attractive to me than the amount I’d be financing right off the bat. It’s less of a burden
What features of the 2020 TRD ORP influenced your decision to upgrade from 2018?
I currently have 2015 TE and considering what the upgrades for 2020 TRD ORP are.
I'm looking at 35K on trade and 19K cash...this is in Canada.

Honestly it was the deal I got basically.... I couldn't say no...I also was curious how non KDSS would be and I like it!!! My options are everything I had in my 2018 TRD ORP plus smart key, Android auto, moonroof, TSS. I also like the touch up down button for the rear window.
You still want to negotiate the purchase price on a lease. What trim was quoted? What is the sales price at that lease rate?

I’ve started shopping online for a limited 4Runner. I’m not very serious yet, but I’m in contact with a local dealer that has a new 2019 limited blizzard white with 3rd row Msrp of 47770. Lowest they would go until today was 42,610. Today the dealer said they would take 40,000 (16% off Msrp). I will walk if they start adding in a bunch of fees. From what I’ve seen this seems like a deal I shouldn’t pass up.

The only fee the dealer charges is a $99 processing fee. Everything else is tax, title and tag related fees. OTD price would be $50,5xx.xx.

Just picked up a stock Gray ORP yesterday from Olympia. MSRP 42920, sale price was 38,7XX. They were slammed with a lot of people yesterday. Was quoted 40,XXX and 41,XXX from I-5 Toyota and Vancouver Toyota. Surprised no larger deals, but ~10% off seemed good to me
I paid a few hundred more for mine, and had to use a military rebate to get there. That's a really really good price. They aren't going to give you a deal on your trade at that price, so you'll you'll likely have to sell private party (if you have a trade).
Remember, it's your $40,000. Your rules, they get choose whether or not to play by your rules and get your $40,000.
