I didn't overlook that, but cb1111 is a troll who doesn't own a 4R, but has hundreds of posts on a 4R forum criticizing actual owners who are modding their trucks.

Yep, it's almost like dc handed out lists of enthusiast sites for monitoring and that's how he ended up here.
After waiting for an ORP with moonroof and KDSS, dealer finally notified me that they are coming and now price is close to 42K (this is the lowest price I get in the SW). Said that they lost a $500 rebate which I'm not sure it was there to begin with. I remember the $1500 one...
anyone heard about this? Is anyone getting a better price for this model with these options?

I have a ORP on order. Is there a point in waiting more and getting the 2021 version? I read that the only major change is LED lights which I don't mind much.
It seems like there are some good deals on the 2020 model. Anyone have any experience finding a leftover 2019 recently? I found a leftover with 87 "test drive" miles and the dealer is offering for roughly an 11% discount. Based on the 2020 deals, I feel they can do better however they would not budge. Any insights are appreciated.

They replaced the $1500 rebate with a $1000 rebate.
Inventory isn't low. If you're very particular with your preferences (color, options), you may have to expand your search radius, but that's always the case. When you've told your dealer to look out for and notify you about a particular car, it doesn't exactly help your bargaining power on price.
$42k for an ORP with KDSS + moonroof (MSRP of what, $46.5k?) is about an 9.5% discount. That doesn't seem too unreasonable. But someone who has actually purchased that combo recently might know better.
Yes, you are totally right. I lost any leverage but again, this was the best price of any dealer in the southwest. That's a pretty big region!
I seem to remember prices lower by maybe 1-2K at the beginning of the pandemic... but maybe somebody else can comment on the price I got above.

I got my 2020 TRD ORP for 41,485.24 out the door. According to my calcs, thats about a 9.37% discount.
All it included was window tint (which I'll probably end up replacing anyway lol)
Sounds like this was a good deal but it took some working. This was back at the end of June.

I think cb1111 was deciding between a 4Runner and a Grand Cherokee, and he picked the Grand Cherokee. Yeah so I'm still not sure why he is still here.
I'm buying my wife a 2020 SR5 4x4, cloth, 3rd row, premium audio, and some smaller options. MSRP is $41,848. I'm in AZ and we couldn't find one with our color and options. Dealer had a bunch coming in and was able to get one spec'd to our choice. Based on that info, where do you guys think I should come in? I'm willing to negotiate for as long as it takes. Prices seem to be all over the map. I can only assume these OTD prices are not including any down payment? You think I'm asking too much for $38,500 OTD?
I'm also in the bay area and have been looking for 2020 4runner, which dealership did you purchase from if you don't mind me asking?
OTD = price paid before Tax, Title, and Licensing (which will vary by state), is my understanding. That would include your down payment because that's part of what you pay... I think it includes things like dealer handling and destination fees as well. Someone correct me there if I'm wrong.
$38,500 on $41,848 MSRP seems about $1,200 too high IMO.
I agree. Not many used ORPs in my area, but I saw a 2015 with that mileage for 30K asking price.

Out The Door includes everything.
Tax, title, fees, extras, etc.
Its the price you pay to drive it off the lot.

I agree that's what people mean when they say OTD to a dealer, but it makes no sense in this thread. Why would people compare prices including TTL when TTL varies so much state-to-state and even city-to-city?
