How much are people paying for the NEW 4Runner?

It sounds like a terrible time to buy a 4runner now with low inventory and price gouging.

Most dealers in my area barely have any 4Runners.

If you want a bargain you should probably look into a Venza. Dealers seemed to overstocked with new Venzas.:puke:

I understand refusing to be price gouged on a car because you want it, but buying completely different one because of “how the numbers look” ... at least make sure it’s something you want.

i personally called about 20 dealers throughout the southeast. AL, GA, NC, SC. They all basically laughed when i asked what deals there were. They said the deal is finding one!! LOL, so i paid sticker.

This is the norm. I’m right in that region. I only got $1000 “Keep It Wild Savings” and they adjusted the value of my trade up $1000. The total “discount” was $2k off an MSRP of $51k (no dealer addendum / market adjustment).

Customized one online w/same options and numbers added up to the dollar. The southeast US is terrible for all discounts on any type of vehicle. It’s 4x4 country.

Paid MSRP at Salinas Toyota (Ca) today for a '21 Lunar Rock. (Plus TTL and a $85 doc fee - super cheap!!)

4 miles were on her. <3

Safe to say there wasn’t a single test drive performed. 2-3 miles gets added from factory storage lot, to car carrier, to dealer. Not counting dealer’s own movement of the car after delivery.

Can we all agree that buying a car at full MSRP when you’re financially ready is still 100% better than buying it at a steal when you’re broke?

I'm friends with the sales manager, and others there.. yeah, this was only driven to get gassed up. :)

Just bought an Nautical Blue ORP last night basically at sticker, afloat on the boat, arriving to dealer in a week or so I hope. Super excited

Anyone know of any dealers in DMV area willing to sell at slightly above invoice? I've contacted over 30 dealers just in the Maryland area with no luck so far

try priority toyota in springfield and only talk to Aaron he’s the GSM you tell him Bryan sent you and he’ll get you hooked up, if they don’t have it he should be able to order it for you at a decent price.

ive bought 5 cars between me and my family from him over the last 2 years and he’s given me the best deal around. just got my tacoma last month for about 7% off msrp and he special ordered it for me in january.

man, about to start looking more seriously for a new rig in the next month and hearing the stories of 4WD SR5P and ORP going for MSRP, the shortage of trucks, is this all just hype? do you think it will die down in 6-9 months?

Sure people do that all the time, I really wanted a Mercedes G Wagen but settled on a 4Runner because of the numbers.

The only reason I really want to push for a 4R (over something like a Explorer or a Ridgeline) is because of the resale value and the possiblity that it'll be my 4 year olds first vehicle one day :P

Sadly it’s a big “?” on the future. I purchased the same 4Runner in 2017 for under $40k that it seems like people pay around $45k now... the msrp could go up again when the 22s start rolling out (which could impact the 21s), you may be able to find some “cheap” runners here or there, or may not be able find any of the ones you want at all by they get low on stock.

My recommendation would be to look around (up to 200 miles away if you’re comfortable making the drive). Get an idea from this forum and from those searches of what people are paying for the 4Runner you want. Set a budget and then start making calls on the ones you’re interested in. Make these dealerships compete, tell them you’re comparing them to someone else, let them know you’re ready to buy the best deal out there...OR..look for demos or vehicles people traded back in quickly for whatever reason, as there are lightly used 4runners out there where you can get a discount and have the benefits of a new car. realistically those are the only ways you’ll get a “great” deal

Get it while you can. I felt like I overpaid for a 17 CPO limited in May 2020 for 38k with a couple extras added in. After seeing what some used ones were listed for I called around for shits and giggles to see what I would get. Looks like I could break even for what I paid except it has 50k miles vs 32k when I bought it.......
