It seems like most dealers in SoCal were willing to sell for TRD ORP's they had on the lot for $2-3K below MSRP. If you are looking for a unicorn (something very specific) like I was then you're stuck with MSRP. I didn't mind paying a little extra to get exactly what I wanted because I anticipate driving this thing forever.

We just put a deposit on a 2024 Pro Underground at MSRP. We are in the Midwest. Most dealers are discounting about 2K off anything except the Pro. A few tried the dealer add on of $3,000 until I told them that most are selling at MSRP. Probably could have waited a little longer and got a better price but didn’t want to take the chance that the market turns back up.

It does. And with Cali adding about 10% of SALT and license fees that meant he would've paid $44~45k before, which would be the best deal I've seen in a long time. Some states have no sales tax, so I wanted to be sure we were comparing apples to apples. Great job haggling, zk06gni. Was it a 2023?

Traded my 2015 for a new 2023 SR5P in late December. Got $2000 off MSRP, and got them to throw in the Trail Running boards, locking lug nuts, and the stainless exhaust tip too. Seems there may have been better deals out there to be had, but I wanted a specific color (silver), no third row, and both the 360 camera and moonroof options. That specific combination has not been very common in my area, so decided to go ahead and pull the trigger. Drove 5 hours to Northern Indiana to get it.

What are people getting for a discount on a Limited these days? Is it MSRP or is there typically a certain percent that is negotiable?
Toyota list the Delivery, Processing, Handling fee at $1,395 on their site, assuming that is standard to be paid in the sale and no discount on that?

I have bought a ton of toyotas new, and many other big brands new and i haggle down to the last dollar and hit them hard and i am not afraid to walk.
In the past, all you were getting off on a Toyota is -$5,000 off sticker. It didnt matter if you bought a camry, a tacoma, or a tundra, about -$5k was absolutely all anyone would give you, max.
If you bought a GM, they would typically easily give you -$8,000 off sticker but you could push them to get around -$10,000 off sticker on their trucks and SUVs, 1500, 2500, and 3500.
If you bought a chrysler, dodge, ram, you could pretty easily push them to come off -$10,000 off sticker, and if you really nudge them hard you could get -$11,000 off sticker.
I have never heard of anybody getting a toyota for more than -$5,000 off sticker, like ever, and i havent been able to no mater how hard i haggle.
This day and age, with the lots filling up, you might be able to get a dealer to come -$2500 off a limited, but you are not likely to get too much more easily. There are dealers still marking them up, putting all sorts of goodies on them, interior detailer sprays, etch shield theft deterrent stuff, paint protector stuff ect ect. I have seen dealers put this "fluff" on a vehicle and add almost +$5,000 over sticker.

I purchased a 24 TRD Pro (Underground) for MSRP in Boulder, Colorado last week. They tried to add an additional dealer cost of $5000, but I refused and was willing to walk away. They caved immediately.
I also received my asking price on my trade. (2016 Chevy Silverado)

that will be a Nautical Blue with Redwood leather, trading in my 2018 Taco Sport(still worth more than I owe on it)

2024 TRD ORP - Solar Octane
Just bought a new 2024 TRD ORP in Farmington NM - $49,750 out the door but that did not include CO title and taxes. MSRP with $1395 delivery fee was $51,198 so about $1500 off MSRP. It was hard to find a Solar Octane ORP without a moonroof and I came up $250 on my initial offer. No dealer add ons or fees. I calc'd dealer invoice at $48,493.

The 4Runner is currently one of the slowest-depreciating cars.
Part is probably due to people like me who decided it was better to buy a used 5th gen rather than a new 6th gen.
The sticker on the 2024 TRD Offroad Premium that I bought, with just under 10K miles, was $55K and change (before tax and license), I paid just over $48K (before tax and license). The dealer was asking just over $50K.
