How much body lift?

Hey everyone, I finally got my lift and tires installed this week. I am running trd/5100s in the front on the 2nd perch, superflexcoils and 5100s in the rear, and 33/12.50-15 on 15/10 wheels, I LOVE IT!! It is by far the best driving and smoothest vehicle I have ever owned! The only downside is that the tires rub pretty good on sharp turns, especially over bumps. I don't like body lifts, but after my BFH made some sweet lovin' to the firewall, I have decided that I need one. Do you guys think I could get away with a 1", or should I go with a 2"? I'm leaning towards the 2", I offroad a decent amount, but nothing real hardcore. Thanks, KCCO!

I am currently running the tundra/lc lift with 32x10.5's so I have no rubbing issues but when I upsize, I don't want to run any more than a 1" body lift. The lower the better, in my opinion

I think 1" should be fine, since you already pounded back your fenders a bit. Maybe you need some wheel spacers? I run 1" body lift, bilstein coilovers at stock height they came, and fenders pounded back a little, with 285/75 tires on 1.25" (or 1.5", can't remember) wheel spacers and I rarely rub anymore. 2 inch body was just too much for me, being mainly a daily driver and not a hardcore wheeler. Chive on.

The width is probably your issue. I'm running 255/85/16 KM2's (~33.2" - larger diameter than yours)with 882 and LC rear coils with no rubbing, it used to rub on the front bumper but a little trimming before I got the ARB took care of it. Now it only rubs on full stuff.

Went wheeling a little today and it rarely rubbed, but I tried to be easy when I turned. I might be able to get away with a 1" body lift, I might do a little measuring. Thanks for the help guys!

I looked at the 4crawler site and like that they offer a 1.5" lift, but the site is a little confusing to be honest. I should probably call them to clear up some of my questions. Another concern I have is would I need to cut/adapt my shifter boot (5spd trans) to be able to shift? My last tacoma had a 3" BL when I got it and it almost wouldn't shift at all with the boot on.

You should be fine with the 1.5".

And yeah, the site is a little confusing.

Basically, what your going to want to get from him is this:

Kit D+FB+SE+RAD.

Kit D, state in your order, you want a 1.5". Kit D comes with the body lift and STANDARD hardware. You can upgrade the hardware if you want, but I didn't had haven't had any issues with it.

FB is the fromt bumper brackets. Obviously, you'll want these, unless you want a huge gap between your body and bumper.

SE is the steering extension. DEFFINATELY going to want this.

RAD is the Radiator drop brackets. Unless you plan on running a 1.5" engine lift along with your BL, you're going to want this as well. The fan will hit the shroud if you don't have it.

All that comes out to about 164.50, with out shipping.

You can upgrade the bushings, and all that as well, but that's going to cost a little more.

Hope this helps ya out.
