Yeah, I'm surprised so far. Expected California to be the priciest! But I'll be registering in TN after this!

$35 for county and city reg. + $9 for inspection here in East Tennessee...every year until they decide to raise it.

[MENTION=1857]fourwd1[/MENTION], I put it in the 5th Gen forum because I specifically wanted cost for *newer* 4Runners. In many states the license/registration fees is related to the value of the vehicle, so comparing a 2018 to a 2000 isn't really apples to apples.

Not sure on the 4R yet but just had to the wifes Highlander.

$454 and our roads are still terrible.

Goes by weight here so I'm expecting the 4R to be close to $500.

Well, so far we got, priciest on top:

1. Kansas
2. Colorado
3. South Carolina
4. Arizona
5. California

Nevada is pretty bad. A 2019 trd pro with msrp of $46k would cost $850.

The basic registration fee is $33
then there is a Governmental Services Tax, Supplemental Gov. Services Tax and a $1 technology fee...

My 97 4runner still costs around $100 each year.
