THANK you y'all ! I appreciate the input !

How about the last three or four pics. All goodz for y'all ?

I am in Houston, and this time I REALLY want to keep the truck for LONG time.

Cheers y'all !

looks fine to me--can easily be touched up

all superficial rust. for 6-7 years old, that is excellent condition.

I agree with the rest. That amount of rust wouldn't slow me down. Touch it up and fluid film it.

I have a '15 and I'm also in Houston, my undercarriage doesn't look as rusted as yours, yours isnt bad though do you drive to galveston alot?

What I've done is start in sections and only do 1 section at a time per day, dont want to rush it and dont want to exhaust yourself. Go underneath the rig with a brass/metal brush to loosen up any rust, hit it with some break cleaner, then spray rustoleum rust converter over any rust spots. Owning a mechanic rolling creeper or a lift really shines here.

Looks like the calipers and lower ball joints might be a bit rusty, but those are replaceable parts if they bother you that bad. I don't think you'll have any long term issues because of that amount of rust. If it were mine, I'd just spray fluid film all over it under there and not worry about it.

You guys don't know what rust is! Granted, mine is a 4th gen, but 5-7 years in the rust belt and that undercarriage would look a lot different! I drool when I see an undercarriage in that good condition after 5-7 years of service.
I don't even see any rust on it!
