I just got a quote for the 30k mile service -- $400!!

Is this in line with what other folks are seeing?

I have a 2006 Limited V8.

Please advise.

What did they do? I know what the book says but what items are on the reciept?

It's hard to know without itemization, sounds a little high though.

He read thru a list of stuff, most of which was "inspect" a bunch of stuff. The list was basically what I've seen from other owners on this site.

I was surprised at the price.

The ole stealership steals again! Thats sounds a bit high. But like CJ3Flyr said, let's see a breakdown of the cost.

According to the 2008 maintenance guide PDF, this is what should have been done.

That whole "inspect " thing irritates me , what a bunch of BS on some things , like the battery , come on !!!

i just had my "partial" 30k service done today at the dealer. the total was $203

- $109 for the plugs
- $19.99 for the shaft
- $55 for both filters parts only, i changed it myself
- $30 for the oil change

this way i don't have to buy any new tools or crawl under the car. i did enough of that when i used to drive 5k mile /month.

Never ask for the "x,000 mile service". That's how they rip you off with stuff you don't need. Follow your Maintenance Guide, and ask to have only specific things done.
