I was wondering if anyone knows if I could run 32x11.50 BF goodrich a/t on stock 15x7 rims and also stock height.
How tall a tire for stock height?

Rome wasn't built in a day, 4R90--it hasn't even been an hour since your first post! For starters, you might want to tell people WHAT you're driving...just might be important, you know. In general, 32's are pushing it at stock height without fender surgery--might have to open up the wheelwells a bit to keep from rubbing on full articulation. Best of luck to ya'!

Thanks for the reply, I forgot to list the vehicle but anyone can look in my "garage" and see its a FIRST GEN. I just wanted to know if anyone else has done it without cutting the fender wells, but if I have too I might.

I've heard mixed reviews about that. Usually 10.5's barely rub, but it's hard to say especially if your gunna wheel it. Why no lift? Lot's of the guys on the forum are gunna prob say bj spacer lift up front to get and inch and a half or so.

Oh, I totally missed the width of the tire compared to the rims--that's definitely pushing the boundaries. I run 31x10.5s on the factory wheels on my DD, and I consider that my limit on width--if there's too much difference between the two, you'll start distorting the tires' footprint. As with 4runnertank, I would recommend a small lift, for both fenderwell and ground clearance--I usually suggest Old Man Emu, a nice 2" without having to change anything else, and those 32's will clear just fine.

4runnertank, the reason for no lift at this point is I'm in need of tires right now and I was going to fit the biggest possible so when I am able to lift it it won't have as much fender well space.
Bucknutbob, how much did your fuel mileage go down with the 31's? I have the same engine as you except I have an auto trans.

Also for everyones input. Am I going to have to take it for a tire resize tune for my auto trans shift point to stay on track?

Afraid I don't know how the mpg changed--I've never had smaller tires on any of mine. I've had three 2nd Gens with the 3.0, and they all were around 18 hwy, with a best of about 21 on a couple occasions. Not sure if there were any changes between the Gens on auto trans, but my first one ('94) was a slushbox, and it did fine choosing the gears; but, as previously mentioned, I didn't have it with smaller tires first. You typically want a tire 2" wider than the rim, so with a 7" rim a 9" wide tire.
10" wouldn't really be a problem, but a 4.5" wider tire is really pushing it.
Now if it's a mainly offroad truck and you air the tires down low, the narrower rim can act as a kind of poor man's beadlock.

You'll need to regear your differentials if you want to go back to stock power and mileage.

You'll get 32's, then you'll want 35's, and then probably want 54" boggers haha. But if you don't have the money right now there's really nuthin you can do. There's a 5" rough country suspension lift with shocks for $600. For being a sus lift, that's pretty cheap. I put mine on myself, took me almost 24 toral hours total tho. Maybe somethin down the road for you to think about.

ive been running my 33x12.5's on 15x8 inch wheels since they were new. havnt had the slightest problem on or off the road. there was a guy not to long ago going through town that had 35's on the stock toyota wheels. 4.5" wider is just fine. my father is actually running 32x11.5's on with stock toyota 7" wide wheels he hasnt had any problems either.

Yea I run 36x15.5's on 15x10" rims.... haha but I bought them like that. wider rims are expensive. No problems, but my footprint is thinner.

Just visited my local Americas tire seems that they have 8 bf Goodrich a/t 32"x1150- 15 throughout 825 stores nationwide. Dude said they are going to stop making them for 15's. My luck, looks like I'm getting 31's

he said its because everyone's going with larger rims 16" and above. Fewer and fewer manufactures are still making all their tires for 15" rims. Today I went and bought 31"x10.50-15 falken rocky mountain ATS. I like them they are pretty aggressive and have a 50,000 mile warranty $720 otd.
