How to adjust ICON front shocks

I didn't want to spend $30 on a wrench from them, so i am asking the veterans around the forums.

Personally, I'd rather use the Icon wrench and that's the only tool I've ever used to adjust the springs. But in a pinch, a steel rod 3/8" inch in diameter will work. You just need some length on it for leverage. Depending on the strength of the rod, you're most likely going to bend it some. Something that you probably already have in your tool box that will also work is a 1/4" drive socket in a 1/4" size and a 1/4" drive nut driver handle. In this case, my Sears Craftsman socket and nut driver fit perfectly.

When you adjust the spring, lift the front end to take pressure off the spring but not so much that the spring rubs against the UCA while it's rotating.

Funny you would spend the $$$ on Icons then be cheap about the specific wrench for adjusting them ...???? Do your self a favor and get the wrench.

I know I found it kinda funny as well. I was just hoping that someone has a better way....

I adjust my Fox coilovers with a smaller extension that happens to fit the holes in the collars. Just go through your tools and see if anything fits!

No worries about the thread, I purchased that wrench from ICON. The downside is IMO, I go the wrench without it being marked as a ICON product. It was a just a plain pc. of metal.
