How to clean ceiling/interior?

My '04 SR5s ceiling is real dirty and it needs to be cleaned. What do I need and how do I do it?

I also have not been able to find the right product to clean my seats and carpets. Any recommendations?

One last thing...my plastic instrument panels have some minor scratches. What can I use to get rid of them?

So are you pretty much saying that I'm screwed and my ceiling will always be dirty? Yeah, it's very delicate.

What about the plastic panel under the radio...the one that displays temperature, etc? It has scratches, anything out there to correct them?

I used Tuff Stuff to clean my carpet and I don't think it did such a good job. What can I sue to clean my seats?

Are you all kidding? How to clean interior? There are books, websites, journals and manuals on subject. 4Runner's interior is not unique. Do research. As for opinion: Vacuum the carpet and seats, clean with damp cloth dash and panels and leave it alone.

I am currently in the process of restoring a 94. Stripped the entire interior. Everything including seats plastic trim, seat belts, door panels and carpet. The only 2 things I did not remove was the headliner and dash. I Scrubbed everything down with Lemon Simple Green. I worked great. The rig had been sitting for 3-4 years so it had a bad funky smell as well as some surface mold and mildew. Lots of scrubbing but great final product. It just so happens it's what I had on my shelf in the garage. I filled a large bin with 1 gallon SG and about 7-8 gallons of water. Put everything in the mix and let them soak. Scrub, rinse and repeat as necessary.

For the ceiling, go for a dedicated upholstery cleaner – 3M and Griot's Garage have excellent options. Gently scrub with a soft brush or a toothbrush if needed. But be mindful of the fabric and avoid excessive moisture.

Now, for your seats and carpets, my go-to is Meguiar's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner. Apply, let it dwell a bit, and then use a quality upholstery brush. Don't forget to vacuum after it dries.

To tackle those scratches on your plastic panels, try Novus Plastic Polish #2. Apply it with a microfiber cloth in a circular motion.
