How to disable power door locks?

Uhh, take the door panels off and cut the wires.
Why not fix them? It shouldn't be hard. Door panels are half the trouble.

That really is the only way, unless you are prepared to live without windows, moonroof, and power seats (if you have those). It's all built into the Body-ECU and powered by a single 30A POWER fuse, so there is no easy, simple way. I looked.
EDIT: Hehe, does not apply if you have the RS3000 alarm. (I don't, so I didn't think of that.)

Dude don't cut any wires. Try this !! Read this carefully. You can disable many functions on the alarm.

I removed the alarm box when I bought the car a couple of months ago, so this info does not help my situation. Thanks anyway.
The main thing they are doing wrong is if the engine is on and I don't lock the driver door before I shut it, all the other door locks are unlocked. I see this as a safety breach late at night, and I am uncomfortable with this malfunction.
Since the power locks are able to do such a goofy thing, I don't trust them and don't want them even if I am able to fix them. I want to be confident that if I unlock one door, all the other doors will remain locked.
This problem might be because the power lock on the driver door does not work. It can only be locked or unlocked manually.
The other thing I don't like is if a door is ajar, non of the doors can be locked. I think this might have been done on purpose by Toyota, but I don't like this feature. I want to be able to lock the doors even if one of them is ajar.

You could figure out which relay it is on the BCM and unsolder it. My relay went bad and my power door locks would not lock, however they would unlock. So you could figure out which one's the unlock relay and do some surgery.

Are you saying if you get out of your truck and want to lock it, you have to close all the doors first then lock it from outside?
Once I was driving with someone in the passenger seat. When I tried to lock the doors, they locked, but when I let go of the switch, they unlocked. I tried many times to lock the doors, but they kept unlocking when I let go of the switch.
I pulled over and had the passenger open and shut their door. This fixed the problem, so the door must have been ajar.

There is a very good reason for that, you had the key in the ignition. If they allowed what you are asking, then you could lock the vehicle with the engine running and close the door. Thus locking yourself out.
It doesn't prevent that from happening. A door has to be not quite shut all the way for that to happen. You can still lock yourself out with the engine running.
Anyway, I didn't really want to spend time discussing how the door locks function and malfunction. I just want to disable them and have manual door locks only. I'm not trying to get converts on my side.

to be honest, I think you need to look to see if your switches are working correctly... IE not 'barely' working and it is broken...
I just tried to do what you said you had and I'm still able to lock the doors even ALL 4 were a-jar physically, the computer thought they were closed... I have replaced the switches so that might be why mine will lock.
the switches were $22 at a stealership... but I think camelback parts online will be cheaper... just replace all 4 and then test again.
this is just a thought/suggestion for you to try. sure it costs some money, but it might be better to have door locks working on insurance claims.
