How to install the offroad lights on top of the front bumper?

I know someone did it using 2 pieces of metal which protruded between the hood and front bumper so you didnt have to drill through the bumper. Anyone have the link for that write up? I cant find it to save my life!

Sharp4runr---you are on the right path. There was someone who posted it just like in the link you posted, but it had the directions.

I didnt mean the ones like Momo---I dont want to get the lights crushed parking in Arlington! FYI-I got the TF2000's by Eurolite from Terrytcl for $32 shipped (2 sets!) They will have the white LED Angel Eye ring around the light. I want to mount them out of the way.

If I were to do it all over, I would complete the install a bit different. I would use aluminum or steel flat stock and attach it to the back of the bumper. This is something I could do myself without resorting to a shop.

Here is a shot with the lights decked out for xmass.

Holz - great job digging up the 2 year old post - that was before I sorted out how to post pix. I remember how hard it was to drill into the bumper of a 2 month old new car.

I'll shoot some close up pix and post them. As soon as I got home from that trip to the Mt's I yanked off the RB's. You can see I wedged one up against the tree. Took them off but have yet to add sliders. 1/2 a year left of payments so not sure she will ever get a set?
